1. Full form. fiberboard with a medium density. ———————–
2. Manufacturing process.  Hot pressing wood fibers and glue mixture form a board. Formaldehyde and phenolic resins are mixed with wood byproducts like wood chips, sawdust, shavings, etc. The mixture is then hot pressed and compacted to create a board.
3. Surface appearance.  Uniformly seeming smooth surface. In contrast, does not have a smooth surface.
4. Price. affordable compared to others. Comparatively cheap.
5. Uses. For medium-priced furnishings such as cupboards, shelves, home furnishings, etc. For lightweight furniture such as computer tables, wardrobes, and shoe racks.
6. Water resistance . Comparatively high.

15. Screw holding capacity. Average due to the composition’s tiny particles. The Relatively Good.
16. Load bearing capacity. Comparatively more. Not good in taking heavy loads.
17. Lifespan. 15 to 20 years when laminated. Laminated boards have lifespan of 10 – 15 years..
